Greenlane Biogas extends its biogas upgrading equipment line-up with high capacity KAURI system with raw biogas capacity up to 3,000 SCFM
Burnaby, BC – Greenlane Biogas, the world’s largest biogas upgrading company, has launched its new, high-capacity ‘Kauri’ biogas upgrading system to provide a cost-effective solution for large scale biogas projects.
With the capacity to treat up to 3,000 standard cubic feet per minute (SCFM) of biogas, the ‘Kauri’ will enable biogas developers to produce over five million cubic feet of pipeline ready renewable natural gas (RNG) per day with a single system. The ‘Kauri’ has twice the capacity of our next largest biogas upgrading system and offers the proven scalability, productivity and performance of our water scrubbing based biogas upgrading systems whether it is for a 150 SCFM (250 Nm3/h) or 10,000 SCFM (16,000 Nm3/h) project.
Other features of the ‘Kauri’ include:
High turndown capacity
Wide operating range able to handle from 1,200 up to 3,000 SCFM
Redundancy on major components to ensure continuous operation and high reliability
Effectively manages high inerts in raw biogas to meet strict pipeline specifications
The ‘Kauri’ was developed in response to customer demand for larger capacity systems as the biogas upgrading market continues to grow. The first commercial installation of the ‘Kauri’ biogas upgrading system is scheduled for completion and operations to begin by the end of 2017.
